One of the most popular certificates confirming language competence in German is Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD). It is recognized by employers all over the world and significantly increases our chances of being offered our dream job abroad. It may also be the key to entering a university in Germany for anyone considering pursuing higher education in a German-speaking country.
The exam takes three hours and is divided into four modules, each focusing on one of the four key language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking.
Sure – anything is possible if you are determined enough. You can take the certification exam off the cuff, no matter where you’ve been learning German and if at all. However, you should bear in mind that each exam is an expense of several hundred zlotys and the tasks are not particularly easy.
At einfach so! we believe that solid preparation is already half the battle, that is why for many years we have been preparing our clients for certification exams. We strongly encourage them to keep developing their language competences and the German certificate preparation courses are just one of the many options we can offer you.
It is one of the most popular certificates confirming language competences in German. Being also the most universal one, it is honored in all German-speaking countries and recognized by international corporations from numerous business areas. Finally, holding the certificate is simply beneficial for anyone considering moving to Germany, Austria, Switzerland or Liechtenstein.
DEUTSCH ALS FREMDSPRACHE IN DER WIRTSCHAFT
In Poland, the second most popular certificate in German is Deutsch als Fremdsprache in der Wirtschaft (WiDaF), which is a certificate for business. It focuses primarily on specialist vocabulary relating to professional activity and work environment. Before taking this exam, we strongly recommend attending a German certificate preparation course just to be sure that passing it will not be any problem.
The exam consists of 150 single-choice questions, some of which focus on reading and some on listening. These are the key areas in learning German if you intend to work abroad. The candidate has three hours to provide all the answers and it usually takes four weeks to receive the results.
DEUTSCHE SPRACHPRÜFUNG FÜR DEN HOCHSCHULZUGANG
The DSH exam (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang) is set by universities in the German-speaking countries and addressed to all those whose aim is to meet the requirements for university entry. The exam is a part of the recruitment process for foreign candidates and it is the university itself that is responsible for the content of the exam. Naturally, there are numerous fields of study with their scientific and specialized vocabulary. For this reason, there is no one universal program of German certificate preparation courses.
Such an exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written one comprises exercises testing the reading and listening comprehension as well as writing skills in German, whereas the oral part is an interview with the examiner. To pass – and thus to be able to get a place of your dreams at a university – you need to provide at least 2/3 correct answers.
DEUTCHES SPRACHDIPLOM
The last certification exam – Deutches Sprachdiplom (DSD) – is addressed to high school students learning German who go to schools located outside the German-speaking countries (surprising, isn’t it?).
When it comes to practice, you need to prepare a presentation including a poster or a slide show in advance and give it to the examining board. Following that, you have 20 minutes to prepare your answer to a question that you are asked during the exam. Finally, to get the certificate you need to take the written part consisting of a reading, listening and writing test.
The Deutsches Sprachdiplom examining board consists of teachers working at the specific school and of one examiner from Germany.
Although our German certificate preparation courses in Warsaw were primarily intended for Zertifikat Deutsch, we are now highly successful at preparing our clients for different exams, too. We are flexible and happy to adjust our teaching program to your needs. Just let us know which certificate you want to try to get.
